Begin to act with confidence
With clarity on your challenges and strengths, you'll be guided to take charge using ADHD-specific coaching methods tailored to the unique neurological differences of ADHD.
You remain in control
Coaching isn’t about rules or hacks. It’s a supportive partnership aimed to give you the tools to take control of your future, with a new perspective and to live on your own terms.
I assumed I was going to be given instructions and guided in setting up productivity tools, but that was nothing like the experience I had. I was led to come to understand and connect with my challenges with clarity and was supported as I created the right amount of support around me.
Gary is an honest person, with a great sense of humour, which I needed at times. He had real knack to know when to push and challenge me or when to step back and offer support and perspective. This is a unique experience I'll always cherish.

After our first session, I knew more about ADHD and how my mind works than ever before. Nobody ever helped me connect with what it means to have ADHD, before was all just confusion and I felt I had no answers, suddenly things started to make real sense and made me feel change was possible.
As I worked with Gary over several sessions, many things started to improve. Despite my challenges, I'm much more content and able to act in ways I simply couldn't before. Gary listens and feels like a genuine partner with you.

Procrastination, difficulty breaking down long-term goals, and feeling overwhelmed by complex projects often make starting and finishing tasks challenging.
Amplified emotions, exquisite sensitivity to rejection or criticism, trouble calming down, and frequent mood swings that can disrupt daily routines and interactions.
Forgetting appointments, losing track of tasks, and struggling to recall important details during conversations are common memory issues.
Acting or speaking without considering consequences, interrupting others, and difficulty resisting immediate distractions often interfere with focus.
Trouble creating step-by-step plans, managing finances, adjusting when things go wrong, and overlooking key details hinder effective decision-making.
Finding it hard to start tasks without external deadlines, relying on last-minute pressure, and quickly losing motivation make self-driven work difficult.
Is there evidence that ADHD Coaching is effective?
Research supports and advocates for ADHD coaching as a valuable and unique modality of support which can compliment other ADHD management approaches. Some of my clients have come to me following suggestions to do so by other healthcare professionals for the specific approach it takes, including psychiatrists and therapists.
Working with an certified ADHD Coach, means collaborating with a proficient, informed individual mainly to enhance your ADHD-awareness and pinpoint where ADHD is manifesting in your life, leading you to your own conclusions and new ways of acting.
My objective as a professional coach, who also has ADHD, is to gradually manage myself out of your life as you enhance your understanding, boost your self-confidence, knowledge, and apply your own strategies.
ADHD Coaches adopt coaching styles very differently than other life coaches, as this is required, neurotypical solutions don't work with ADHD in the mix. This enables you to independently initiate actions to enhance your performance according to who you already are, just in better shape to activate to tasks and reflect on the past and future, facilitating a life that fits for you.

Common questions
No, while some tweaks to the ADHD educational aspect may vary, I work with both people who have a confirmed ADHD diagnosis, are self-diagnosed, are waiting for their assessment or are weighing up options of the benefits of a formal diagnosis in conjunction with coaching.
I have even had clients without any suspected neurodivergence, who simply appreciated the way that problems are broken down and wanted to get organised.
No, I charge clients on a session-by-session basis.
If preferable, usually in the case where your employer is paying for your ADHD coaching, I can facilitate payment based on this preference, but it's not the norm or assumed.
Unlike other forms of coaching, ADHD coaching involves navigating twists and turns, especially as knowledge and self-awareness improves.
It's essential to allow the client to dictate the sessions and not to "prescribe knowledge", insist on adopting certain systems or to force some pre-determined structure on the engagement. This will never work, if it did, ADHD wouldn't pose problem, we'd already know how to do the things we already know we want to.
Sometimes, clients may identify diversions as deliberate avoidance exercises, gaining this knowledge in a non-judgemental way through coaching, this insight can help them get back on task or start to realise that following an alternative path may bring them closer to their true goals.
I can attest that my own life and coaching goals changed significantly after building self-awareness of ADHD and reflecting on its impact on my career choices. In the first couple of sessions, I will work with you to understand your challenges, how ADHD manifests for you, and what you want to achieve through coaching.
Each session is up to one hour long and ideally includes specific goals to be completed between sessions, goals the client had identified, not been told what to do.
As someone with ADHD, I understand that you may get derailed for various reasons. There will be no judgement if you don't complete the work; instead, it can be a valuable time to reflect on why not.
Presently, all sessions will be conducted online. Initially, ideally one week apart from each other as you gain momentum.
It's important that you have the time following sessions to reflect, plan and undertake any actions you had hoped to achieve for the week.
I am from Dublin, Ireland but am currently living in Barcelona and am considering in-person options here presently.
Of course, I don't want you attending coaching if it's not working for you, the last thing I want to do is make things worse for you.
At the outset of any formal coaching engagement, I will provide you with an agreement which outlines all such details and policies.
My focus area and training is working with adults, I do not presently work with people under the age of 18.
In some instances if I feel another ADHD coach may be more suitable for you given your needs, I'll let you know that and point you to another ADHD coach in my network.
